What you need for running this application is:

 - a Java Runtime Environment (short: JRE). Every Java application needs this, so normally
it is installed on every computer. Likely you don't have to take care about it. If you miss
a JRE on your computer you can download it here: http://java.com/download.
This application was developed and tested with Java 8. Therefore Java in version 8 or higher
is required to use this application.
The JRE has to support the same architecture than "Shortcut for SAP systems" was built for:
64 bit or 32 bit. We offer our product for 64 bit as well as for 32 bit.
Additionally, JavaFX — a library for Java desktop applications — is required. Depending on the
JRE, it may or may not be part of the JRE installation. Here are some JREs that come with JavaFX:
    - Bellsoft Liberica JDK: https://bell-sw.com/pages/downloads/ (choose a "full" or "FX" version)
    - Azul ZuluFX: https://www.azul.com/downloads/?package=jdk-fx
If the JRE on your computer does not include the JavaFX Runtime, you can also add JavaFX to your
	current JRE by...
    1) downloading JavaFX from here: https://gluonhq.com/products/javafx/
    2) copying the following files:
       a) the files in the \lib directory to the \jre\lib directory of your JRE
       b) the native runtime files (*.dll) from the \bin directory to the \jre\bin directory of your JRE.

 - the SAP Java Connector from SAP (short: SAP JCo). This is normally not installed on every computer.
It can be downloaded here: https://support.sap.com/en/product/connectors.html. For getting access to the
download files you need an SAP Market Place User or "SAP S User ID". In case you don't have one
either your company should be able to create it there should be someone in your company with an
S-User ID who can download the files.
However, this tool is intended for SAP IT staff and not for the SAP end user, therefore an SAP S User ID
should be there for the targeted users.
You need at least these 2 files:
    - sapjco3.jar
    - sapjco3.dll
Both files are to be available with the same version (this is of course the case if you install the SAP JCo)
and have to support the same architecture (64 bit / 32 bit) as the JRE and "Shortcut for SAP systems".
The first file "sapjco3.jar" has to be placed in the subdirectory "Sc4SAP_lib".
The other file "sapjco3.dll" has to be placed either
    - in the subdirectory "Sc4SAP_lib", too
    or
    - in a directory that is included in the system path (for Windows systems the subdirectory "system32"
in the Windows directory would be a suitable place).
Both files are property of SAP and not allowed for us to distribute them. They are not part of our product.

On Windows platforms, SAP JCo in version 3.1 (and probably also higher versions) requires the
Visual Studio 2013 C/C++ runtime libraries to be installed on the system. If not present, download and
install the "Visual C++ 2013 Redistributable Package" from the Microsoft knowledge base article
https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4032938 and choose the package, which corresponds to the used
	Locale and JVM bit-width (x64 for 64-bit or x86 for 32-bit).

If the SAP JCo files are not present or not runnable, the application will not start!

 - last not least you need an accessible SAP system with an ABAP stack in your network environment
which of course is also not part of this product.

 - some functions require a SAP GUI installed on your computer. This is also a product of SAP and not
    part of our product.

 - a valid license for the single functions of this tool which can be ordered at www.Shortcut-IT.com.

You can use the provided program "Sc4SAPStarter.exe" to check whether the preconditions are given resp.
which missing requirement prevents "Shortcut for SAP systems" from starting. It also offers the possibility
to search for a missing file in the accessible directories of your computer. There is a chance that the
missing files already exist somewhere on your computer or on accessible drives, so give it a try.

If there are no graphics visible (each button should have a graphic), the reason is probably due to a
setting other than 100% in the "Scale and layout" settings in Windows 10. To fix this, do the following:
in the Windows Explorer, right click on "Sc4SAP.exe" (resp. "Sc4SAPUserAdmin.exe", "Sc4SAPDataAdmin", ...
depending on the product) > go to "Comaptibility" tab > check "Override high DPI scaling behavior"
and select "Scaling performed by: System".

There is nothing to be implemented in the targeted SAP systems, so you don't have to mess with
transport requests or Addons. This application is working with the functions that are already available
in an SAP (ABAP stack) system.
